At Mirus Australia, we are #makingagedcarebetter with people, insights, and technology with a goal to improve the financial performance of aged care providers.
As we continue to support the financial safety of the aged care industry – who can we pass the “please stay fit and healthy” baton onto?
Last year, we invested significantly in the research and design of a fitness app. The goal was to develop a sustainable health & fitness prototype program.
We were interested in better understanding:
- What prevents people from maintaining healthy exercise habits?
- What sustains healthy exercise habits?
- What influences motivation and how does motivation and exercise work together?
- What types of exercise habits and behaviours correlate with sustained exercise routines?
The Global Fitness App Market was valued at approximately USD 2.27 billion in 2018 and is anticipated to grow by more than 29.0% from now to 2026.
According to ABC News, sports reporter Michael Rennie “the closure of gyms and fitness centres across Australia has taken a massive toll on the industry, but trainers are utilising new apps and running classes online to connect with clients to try to remain viable during the coronavirus pandemic.”
So what are you waiting for?
