Friendship: Random Acts of Kindness Day

February 2, 2021 | People at Mirus Australia

Each year on February 17th Random Acts of Kindness Day grows in popularity. It is celebrated by individuals, groups and organisations to encourage acts of kindness. Random Acts of Kindness inspires people every day. Not only do the acts of kindness bring joy to the receiver, but they spread positive reactions to the giver, too!

Mirus Australia presents our very own compilation of #RandomActsofKindnessDay where our team is sharing their own random acts of kindness that they received or spread…

To kick off this series, Mirus Australia’s, Head of Admissions Natanya Full shares her experience while she was backpacking through Europe.

Natanya was heading off on a 4-hour train ride across several countries.  She had been in a rush to get onto the train and forgot to pack food.  She did not have enough money for the dining cart either.

She sat in her cabin with her tummy grumbling for most of the journey. At one point, another passenger joined her in the cabin and after hearing her grumbling stomach, smiled and offered her an apple before getting off at his stop.

“It was the most delicious apple that I have ever eaten”, Natanya recalls.

The next experience is shared by Mirus Australia’s, Chief Marketing Officer Amanda Jones as a thank you to Natanya.

Amanda was feeling unwell and stuck on the sofa at home (with a negative COVID result!).

Natanya cooked the most wonderful chicken and rice dish and delivered it to her home.

She did this on a weekend where she should have been spending her time with family and friends. It was her beautiful big smile, time and care that I will remember the most and be grateful for.

Stay tuned for more heartfelt random acts of kindness!
