Keeping residents and families of Andrew Kerr Care connected

#togetherapart

We’re apart and together – at the same time.

Every day there is another new update and information around COVID-19.

As the restrictions and safety measures have evolved, aged care providers across Australia have been going above and beyond to help keep their residents, families and friends and staff safe and informed.

Lifestyle services can have a significant impact on an older person’s health and wellbeing.” Whilst practicing social distancing where possible – our client and aged care provider: Andrew Kerr Care, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria responded quickly by offering enriching virtual activities to support and maintain resident’s mental wellbeing.

Mirus Australia is proud to be a part of their digital journey.

In addition to assisting with the day-to-day marketing and communications at Andrew Kerr Care, we are focused on providing quick support.

Angelia Dixon, CEO at Andrew Kerr Care and Kelina, Lifestyle Coordinator, requested a booking system on their website to help manage Skype bookings for families and friends to connect with residents.

Within 24-hours upon receiving the request, we had the booking system up and running.  This system offers a custom calendar view and allows residents to connect with their families whilst visitation restrictions are in place.

It also helps Kelina manage the workflow with an intuitive administration panel and real-time notifications.

Key features of the system:

  • Customisable calendar
  • Notification alerts: One to the person who made the booking and the other to the booking administrator
  • The ability to manually modify and update bookings
  • Synchronise seamlessly with the current website

Despite the busy day-to-day activities that are the role of a Lifestyle Coordinator, Kelina took time out to email us:

“Thank you so much for all your support with the bookings.  Skype is taking off and it is so wonderful to see the smiles and interaction the residents and their families are getting from this.  Just fantastic.  😊”

Change may suck, so we’re not going anywhere. To find out how we can make a difference please contact us here.
