How do you advise the next generation on what to study once the obligatory schooling is done?

What sectors or professions will give future professionals a sense of purpose, an ability to make a difference to other peoples lives and enable them to earn a living at the same time?

These are questions I have been pondering since my son completed his HSC in November 2019.

In this article on the fastest growing sectors (based on Seek job ads) the top 2 growth areas are industries who provide care and a human touch to our most vulnerable.

With all the growth in technology we still require human services!

“Competition among job seekers may be a little tougher heading into the new decade, with a year-on-year job ad decline of 7.3% at the end of 2019. But there was still strong growth across many industries and demand for certain roles showed no sign of slowing. So, which industries and roles led the way?” You can read the results here.

We would love to hear how you are advising the next generation of professionals in healthcare.
