Stress Down Day: Friday 24th July 2020
July 21, 2020 | People at Mirus Australia

According to LifeLine Australia Friday is Stress Down Day, a fun and easy initiative designed to reduce stress and raise vital funds for Lifeline Australia.
Stress Down Day promotes happiness, encourages help-seeking and raises awareness of suicide prevention through raising funds for Lifeline’s crisis support services.
There are lots of ways you can laugh, get involved and raise funds all at once.
This Stress Down day your workplace can help by encouraging people to take some time on July 24, or after, donating and feeling good about supporting all the work Lifeline does nationwide.
Research shows that 90% of Australians need to stress less – with 74% of people reporting being stressed from work.
How can we raise funds and have fun at work?
- Hold a bad joke contest with your colleagues and bring the power of laughter into your life to help people stress less and feel better
- Encourage everyone to wear silly hats or silly hair on those zoom calls!
- Ask your CEO to do something ridiculous for the day!
Funds raised will increase the number of volunteers helping Australians in crisis.
Did you know that every 30 seconds, a person in Australia reaches out to Lifeline for help?
They are a national charity providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.
They exist so that no person in Australia has to face their darkest moments alone.
If you or someone you know is feeling or behaving very stressed, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or visit www.lifeline.org.au/gethelp
