AN-ACC & Care Minute Optimisation
A defined programme of work across every facility you operate, making sure your classifications reflect the care you deliver and your roster reflects what you are funded for.

The funding you are owed, and the roster to match
Your AN-ACC classifications set both. They determine the funding you receive and the care minutes you are required to deliver, which in turn sets what your roster has to cost. Managed apart, they cost you twice, in funding you never claimed and roster hours you never needed.
We start with every resident. We check each one's classification against the care they need now, ratify our findings with your team, and have our clinicians review the documentation behind the claims. Then we analyse your rosters against your care minute targets and cost the options for getting where you need to be.
Then we stay. Once the targets are agreed we work with your revenue, clinical, admissions and roster teams to hit them. And because your people sit in every case conference along the way, they finish the programme able to run the process themselves.
What's included

Frequently asked questions
What providers ask most about AN-ACC & Care Minute Optimisation, from classifications and rosters to what’s included and what happens after.
AN-ACC & Care Minute Optimisation is an advisory programme from Mirus Australia for residential aged care providers. Across every facility you operate, we check each resident’s AN-ACC classification against the care they need now, analyse your rosters against your care minute targets and cost the options, then work with your teams to put the changes in place and train them to run the process themselves.
Each resident’s AN-ACC classification sets two things: the funding you receive and the care minutes you are required to deliver. When classifications fall behind residents’ current care needs, you receive less funding than the care you provide supports. When rosters aren’t built around the targets those classifications set, you either fall short or pay for hours you aren’t funded for. Managing the two together avoids both.
We review every resident. Our team checks each classification against the care the resident needs now and agrees the findings with your team, and our clinicians review the documentation behind each claim. Where a classification no longer reflects a resident’s needs, we help your team act on it, including support with appealing a classification.
The programme covers every facility you operate. It includes a resident-by-resident classification review, roster analysis against your care minute and Star Rating targets (including overtime, agency use and skill mix), implementation support, a dedicated AN-ACC analyst, unlimited Mirus Metrics licences for the length of the programme and places for your team on Mirus Academy AN-ACC courses.
Yes. Your team sits in every case conference during the programme, works alongside our analyst and clinicians, and completes Mirus Academy AN-ACC training covering the fundamentals, operational management and clinical assessment. By the end, they can run the classification and roster review process themselves.
Mirus Metrics is software that forecasts AN-ACC classifications, tracks reassessments and reconciles Medicare payments. AN-ACC & Care Minute Optimisation is a hands-on advisory programme: our analysts and clinicians review every resident and roster with your team and help make the changes. Mirus Metrics licences are included for the length of the programme, so your team can record classifications and test what reclassifications would be worth.
