Steady growth in occupancy and care minutes as claiming stabilises

Revenue

In April, the industry’s Average Daily Subsidy (ADS) saw a slight decline, decreasing by -$0.12 to $300.84. While total claiming activity remained steady, voluntary claiming dropped slightly to 3.98%, a decrease of -0.36% from the previous month.

Occupancy

Occupied bed days continued their upward trend in April, with occupancy rates rising to 91.86%. Respite usage increased by 10.80%, while the conversion rate from respite to permanent care declined by -3.18%.

Workforce management

Total direct care minutes increased to 210.73 minutes per resident per day, while RN care time also rose slightly, reaching 43.37 minutes per resident per day.
