Revenue
The industry’s Average Daily Subsidy (ADS) held steady in August, dipping just -0.17 cents to $300.78. Minor declines in the most recent month are typically backfilled in the following weeks through backdated reassessments.
Occupancy
Occupied bed days increased slightly in August, with sector-wide occupancy reaching 92.07%. Permanent admissions declined by -4.43%, while respite bed day usage rose by 13.03%.
Workforce management
Total care time increased again from July to August as did RN time, with total time increasing 1.63% and RN time increasing by 0.77%. The sector is now delivering on average, 9 minutes more than the 215-minute target.
