With 30 years in the social and community sector and 14 in the aged care sector as CEO and leader, Lucy was responsible for Korongee, Australia’s first purpose built village for people living with dementia.
Lucy is a NSW Australian Ageing Council member and current CEO of Columbia Aged Care which has three residential aged care facilities in NSW.

Verity Leith

Verity joined Benetas in September 2019, with extensive experience within the aged care sector since 2000. Verity has also held executive management roles within the industry, including previous positions at Estia Health and BlueCross as regional and executive manager respectively. She is committed to building and maintaining high-performance teams, enjoys meeting her customer-facing teams, and interacting with residents and their families. Verity’s advice is to ‘back yourself up as a professional’ and say ‘yes’ to challenges or opportunities – ‘you never know where they may lead’. Verity encourages young women to seek inspiration from other women who have successfully contributed and held leadership roles.

Justin Dover is a dedicated professional with over 29 years of experience in the aged care sector. Starting his journey as an assistant in nursing, Justin has worked in various organisations. Currently serving as the CEO of Alino Living, a not-for-profit organisation, Justin oversees operations across four sites on the NSW Central Coast. Justin also a director of PACE Care, an organisation providing financial processing services to aged care organisations. Justin’s extensive experience, coupled with his genuine care and dedication, make him a respected figure in the aged care sector.

Anita Courtney

Aged Care and Home Care Principal, Russell Kennedy Lawyers


Anita is a leading lawyer in aged care who focuses on delivering quality and practical advice to her clients. She assists aged care providers in both home care and residential care to comply with their responsibilities under the Aged Care Act 1997 and its Principles including the Aged Care Quality Standards as well as other relevant laws. Anita regularly assists with responses to the Department of Health and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, and has represented providers in the AAT and Federal Court. She also advises on retirement village and disability legislation, manages complex complaints and guardianship matters, and delivers training across the sector. Anita was named Melbourne’s “Lawyer of the Year” in Retirement Villages and Senior Living Law (2025) and has been recognised in Best Lawyers for Health & Aged Care Law since 2020.

Katie has extensive experience in the aged care sector from running her own advisory business to holding roles such as Aged Care Consultant at Pride Living Group; ACFI Education and Quality Consultant and Coordinator at Peninsula Village and Assistant Manager at Happy Valley Retreat. Katie holds a Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma of Business Management, Health Care Administration / Management as well as a raft of Aged Care qualifications.
