How Mirus helped providers secure $50M in Capital Assistance Grants

By Stephen Rowan, Head of Consulting and Business Development

We’re proud to celebrate the success of our clients across three rounds of Capital Assistance Grant funding, where our team has supported providers to achieve a total of $50 million in funding. Working closely with clients, we’ve helped unlock capital to enhance staff housing, care delivery, and workforce wellbeing.

In the most recent round announced this month, our clients were awarded $34 million, supporting projects such as:

John Curtin Aged Care — $13M: 33-bed expansion and refurbishment of existing rooms

Maranatha House — $9.5M: Construction of a 22-bed memory support unit

Medea Park — $7.98M: Aged care home refurbishments and staff accommodation

Ashleigh House — $1M: New call bell system and extension of 10 rooms

Southern Cross Care Tasmania — $666k: Refurbishment of unused accommodation into functional staff accommodation

“We were just discussing that only six years ago we were barely surviving, now we are planning for the future with high optimism and in a positive position. We have come along a long way. We thank you and all involved for the support and belief in [us].”

These outcomes are a testament to the dedication and vision of our clients. Across three funding rounds, we’ve been able to help providers secure over $50 million in funding that has a real and lasting impact on staff and residents. We look forward to supporting providers in future submissions, ensuring they have the best chance of success.
