Occupancy remains low at 88%.
Rob Covino presents Mirus Industry Analysis (MIA) insights into the previous month’s key performance indicators across the not-for-profit, private providers, and the cumulative industry trends from the 89,000+ beds the Mirus Australia team currently monitors for financial sustainability.
The August period saw continued growth in overall Average Daily Subsidy (ADS) maintaining its status above $190, with Private operators nearing $200 ADS.
Ongoing State lockdowns are causing occupancy levels to continue to decline with August at 88% of occupied bed days. It would appear families continue to favour respite and home care options, with respite bed days consuming a further 10,000 days than last month.
Overall Care Minutes maintained flat at an average total of 152 mins worked on a per bed per day basis with non-care minutes sliding slightly, however Allied Health Minutes jumped 30% over the month August.
