Increases in ADS, occupancy and RN minutes

Revenue management

Over the March period, the industry Average Daily Subsidy (ADS) jumped $1.40 to $223.77. Claiming activity across the sector slipped back again this month to 5.37% which is a further 2% less than in February..

Occupancy

We saw some bounce back in occupancy levels in March with the industry achieving 87.04% of occupied bed days. Strong performance in permanent admissions and respite bed days provided the boost.

Workforce management

Total Direct Care Minutes dropped 2.3% in March bringing the the industry average to 169.58 minutes. RN minutes rose, and agency minutes took a step back from the holiday peak period by a solid 21.40%.
