Direct care minutes are up but RN time slides

Welcome to the February 2023 edition of Mirus Industry Analysis (MIA). 

Revenue management (starts at 0:11)

The sector achieved further gains from the December period adding $1.18 to Industry ADS indicating that Providers are starting to engage with the AN-ACC processes.  

Occupancy (starts at 01:14)

Occupancy levels had a slight pause over January as both Providers and families caught their breath over the holiday period. The Industry is still sitting near a 12-month high at just over 86% of licensed beds being occupied. 

Workforce management (starts at 01:55)

Direct care minutes jumped up 9% over January to just over 175 minutes worked on a per-resident per-day basis. However, RN minutes slid by almost 3.5% to 25 minutes worked on per-resident per-day basis.
